Mobile phones as electronic wallet

Internet giant Google is said to be teaming up with credit card companies such as MasterCard and Citigroup to enable android powered cellphones to be used in purchasing goods by simply waving the cellphone in the reader at the checkout counter.

This must be one of Google’s attempts to penetrate mobile advertising.

My stand on nuclear power plant

Nuclear may have become a household word, but few people actually know what it is all about. People tend to associate nuclear not with its peaceful uses, but with ill-founded scare stories about radioactive death clouds and cancer. Nuclear power plant and nuclear bomb are fundamentally designed differently. Nuclear bomb are designed to explode while nuclear power plant are designed to contain radiation. In the 50 years of using nuclear for commercial uses, the number of people who died or affected by radiation is too low compared to the number of people who died everyday from car accidents.
